19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard courts

A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.

The athlete, a former world number one, has endured a challenging season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.

The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-term mentor his previous coach.

Now collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.

This marks the player's maiden trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface from that period of the previous year.

Victory also signifies he has won 21 championships at twenty-one various tournaments.

"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my both daughters at once, so to get a trophy is really nice," stated ranked player the champion.

"This championship is in tribute of my child her name, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."

The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, comprising in Halle in the past months.

The player's retrieving strategy and regular reactions on court had led commentators to question if his skill to compete at the top level was concluded.

Yet the player has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete positively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.

He fought back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, taking four of the concluding five points to take the lead.

The competitors exchanged service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to force a decider.

He defended four early-game chances in a close third set before Medvedev broke to that score to serve for the match.

Appropriately, the winner clinched the title with a rally at the net, with his opponent failing to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
